Bloc Party Announces New Album 'Anatomy of a Brief Romance,' Produced by Trevor Horn

Bloc Party fans, get ready! The band has announced their new album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance. The album is a direct follow-up to their 2022 LP Alpha Games. The new record sees them collaborate with legendary producer Trevor Horn, and the first single, “Coming on Strong,” is already making waves.

According to Kele Okereke, the album is deeply personal, chronicling the aftermath of a relationship spanning over a decade. He stated, "Every lyric you’re hearing on this record was something that actually happened to me. I had to tell the story, from start to finish."

Anatomy of a Brief Romance marks the inaugural release for Contagious Ltd., a fresh imprint under the Virgin Music Group umbrella. In the years since Alpha Games, Okereke and the band have been actively celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal album, Silent Alarm, with a series of high-profile shows.
