Britney Spears Reflects on 'Spiritual Journey' After Rehab Stay
Britney Spears shares a message of gratitude and self-reflection after her recent rehab stay, marking her first public comments in over a month.

In her first public statement in over a month, Britney Spears took to Instagram to express gratitude for her friends and the “beautiful people” she's met during her “spiritual journey.” This follows her recent DUI arrest and subsequent stay in a rehab facility.
“I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey,” Spears wrote on Saturday. “All a blessing in disguise.”
Spears' post included a picture of a snake, which she noted symbolizes “good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck.” She also mentioned visiting a pet store with her sons. According to reports, she recently left a rehab center in Camden, Maine, after spending less than three weeks there.
“I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself,” Spears added, reflecting on her ongoing personal growth. “It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!”
Earlier in the week, Spears pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge of wet reckless following her suspected DUI arrest in March. She avoided jail time by pleading guilty to the lesser charge. Her lawyer, Michael A. Goldstein, told Rolling Stone that Spears is “doing well” and that they appreciate the district attorney's recognition of the positive steps she has taken.
As part of her plea deal, Spears will be under summary probation for 12 months, which includes continuing mental health and substance treatment, weekly meetings with her psychologist, twice-monthly visits with her psychiatrist, and completing a three-month DUI class.
