Britney Spears Responds to Restaurant Incident Reports, Reflects on 'Spiritual Journey'
Britney Spears' representatives deny claims of erratic behavior at a restaurant, while the pop icon addresses her recent DUI arrest and rehab stay, expressing gratitude and self-reflection.

Reports surfaced earlier this week alleging that Britney Spears behaved erratically at a restaurant, with one person claiming a diner "feared for her life." According to TMZ, the 'Toxic' singer was allegedly "screaming" and "barking" at the Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California, and walked past a table holding a knife.
A representative for Spears has refuted these claims, stating that she was simply enjoying "a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard." The spokesperson told Billboard, "She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbours. At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife."
"She was cutting her hamburger in half," they added. "This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now."
She just left and everyone in the restaurant turned and started talking about it. An INSANE dining experience. One diner feared for her life. This is not a joke… https://t.co/uGuk5Q7HOF

This incident follows Spears avoiding jail time in her DUI case by pleading guilty to reckless driving. She was arrested on March 4 after police stopped her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
As part of the plea agreement, Spears received 12 months of informal probation, including vehicle searches if requested, DUI education classes, and continued mental health treatment. Prior to this, she voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation facility and thanked fans for their support after her DUI arrest.
Spears has since spoken out, expressing gratitude for the support she's received during her "spiritual journey." In a now-deleted Instagram caption (via Rolling Stone), she shared, "I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey," adding that it was "all a blessing in disguise."
TMZ also reported that Spears left the rehab center in Maine after less than three weeks. In her Instagram post, the singer added: "I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself."
"It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!"
In 2007, she faced charges in a hit-and-run case, although these were eventually dropped, and a jury acquitted her of driving without a valid California license.
Since then, she published her memoir, The Woman In Me, which made countless headlines upon its release due to the candid discussions of her career, relationships, 13-year conservatorship and personal experiences.
