BTS Announces Netflix Concert 'Arirang' and Documentary 'The Return'
K-pop superstars BTS are set to stream their comeback concert 'Arirang' exclusively on Netflix, alongside a new documentary titled 'The Return'.
BTS's highly anticipated live comeback won't just be on their world tour; it's hitting your living room first! The K-pop phenomenon has announced BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, a special concert broadcasting exclusively on Netflix. Adding to the excitement, they've also inked a deal with the streaming giant to release a new documentary, BTS: The Return.
The Netflix concert, featuring tracks from their new album Arirang, will be streamed live from the Gwanghwamun in Seoul on March 21st. Fans worldwide can tune in starting at 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The concert boasts a stellar production team, directed by Hamish Hamilton, with Hybe, BigHit Music, Guy Carrington, Garrett English, and Kevin Hermanson serving as executive producers. According to Deadline, this marks the first-ever live event to be broadcast globally from Korea.
BTS: The Return is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 27th. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the documentary offers an intimate look at the group's reunion, following their hiatus in 2021 when members undertook South Korea’s mandatory military service. During their break, the group released their anthology album, Proof, in June, with members also pursuing solo projects such as J-Hope’s Jack in the Box, RM’s Indigo, and Jimin’s Face.
Arirang marks BTS's first full-length album in six years, following 2020’s Be. The band is set to embark on a massive stadium tour this April, encompassing 79 shows across five continents.
