Reports indicate that UK Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has called for DJ Haram to be barred from entering the country due to pro-Palestine comments she made during a performance in Australia.
Last month, the DJ and producer, whose real name is Zubeyda Muzeyyen, performed at the 25th anniversary of the Sydney festival, Biennale. During her set, she voiced support for those struggling in Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, and Syria, chanting: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free".
According to reports, the New Jersey DJ also criticized the civilian death toll from attacks on Palestine and Lebanon, dedicating her performance to pro-Palestine activists.
She reportedly stated, "I refuse to comply with artwashing the genocide. It’s our duty to protect the planet, and it’s our duty to oppose the Zio-Australian-Epstein empire. Until Palestine is free, none of us are free."
Following her comments, police initiated an investigation. NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon acknowledged the importance of free speech in the country.

Reports suggest that these comments could impact her ability to perform in the UK. Chris Philp has allegedly requested that DJ Haram be banned from her scheduled UK performances.
Referencing the decision to prevent Kanye West from entering the UK to perform at Wireless 2026 due to antisemitism allegations, Philp reportedly stated: "The last thing this country needs is a visit from yet another international musician embroiled in allegations of anti-Semitism and promoting terrorism."
He allegedly added: "As the Government continues to struggle to get a grip on the relentless wave of anti-Jewish racism and Islamist extremism in the UK, it is patently not conducive to the public good for Zubeyda Muzeyyen (DJ Haram) to perform here. The Home Secretary needs to get a grip and ban her."
As of now, DJ Haram is still scheduled to perform on April 17 at London’s Phonox, and at the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham later in the month.
The police investigation into DJ Haram is ongoing.
In related news, Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja also faced police intervention for supporting Palestine. He was recently arrested in London during a protest against the ban on Palestine Action.
Del Naja was among hundreds protesting the ban on Palestine Action in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, holding a sign stating “I Oppose Genocide, I Support Palestine Action”.
Police arrested him on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organization, and he later addressed the arrest online.
He wrote, "On the topic of madness, in Britain in 2026, you can be arrested under the Terrorism Act for sitting in silence, holding a cardboard sign stating that you oppose genocide and support non-violent action to prevent it."
