Doechii and Lady Gaga Turn the Dancefloor into a 'Runway' for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'
Doechii and Lady Gaga unleash 'Runway,' their high-fashion collaboration for The Devil Wears Prada 2, ahead of the film's May debut.

Doechii and Lady Gaga have officially dropped "Runway" on Thursday, their collaborative anthem from The Devil Wears Prada 2. The track arrives just in time for the film’s premiere on May 1.
"You gonna burn your tongue on this tea,” warns Gaga in the song, before Doechii proclaims, “Got the front row screaming, ‘Okay, okay’/ Do a little twirl/Let ’em know I’m that girl.” True to the film's stylish theme, the song's core message is: “Monday through Sunday, I can turn the dancefloor into a runway.”
The single boasts an impressive writing team consisting of Bruno Mars, Jaylah Hickmon, Gaga, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, and Jayda Love. Production was handled by Mars, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and D’Mile. Notably, Gaga and Mars previously collaborated on the Grammy-winning hit, “Die With a Smile.”

The duo initially teased “Runway” earlier this week in the final trailer for the highly anticipated movie. The film reunites the original cast, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, and introduces new faces like Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, and Donatella Versace. Gaga was previously spotted on set in Milan a day after Donatella Versace was seen.
Prior to the song's release, both Gaga and Doechii expressed mutual admiration. “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary,” Gaga told British Vogue last year. “That’s Doechii to me. I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective.”
Doechii shared her reaction to the pop icon’s words during an interview with People. “I audibly gasped, literally. I’m the biggest Lady Gaga fan, and she is so dedicated to her creativity and pushing the limits, so for a legend like that to say that about me, it really, really validated me in a humbling way,” said Doechii.
