Dua Lipa is set to star in Peaked, a new comedy from A24. This marks her first foray into ensemble comedy, adding to her growing list of acting credits.

The film is directed by Molly Gordon (The Bear) and written by Gordon and Allie Levitan. Peaked follows two women, once labeled 'terrorisers' in high school, as they reunite with their former classmates at a 10-year reunion, attempting to recapture their glory days.

As Deadline reports, Lipa joins an impressive cast that includes Oscar-winner Laura Dern, Sex Education star Emma Mackey, Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie, and Bridgerton's Simone Ashley.

Other cast members include Gabby Windey, Levon Hawke, Emil Wakim, Mitra Jouhari, Alex Consani, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, and Jaya Harper. The film is produced by A24, David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman, and Molly Gordon, with Allie Levitan as executive producer. Production is slated to begin next month in New Jersey.

This isn't Lipa's first venture into acting. She previously appeared as Mermaid Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie (2024) and as LaGrange in Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle.

Details about Lipa's role in Peaked are currently under wraps, and the film's release date remains unknown.

Lipa's last album, Radical Optimism, was released in 2024. NME gave it a three-star review, describing it as chasing “hedonistic and carefree vibes” but also being “frustratingly passive.”
