Friko Announces New Album 'Something Worth Waiting For,' Shares "Seven Degrees" Video
Chicago band Friko is set to release their new album, Something Worth Waiting For, on ATO Records. They've also dropped a video for the lead single, "Seven Degrees."

Friko is gearing up to release a new album. Something Worth Waiting For, the Chicago band’s second record, lands on ATO Records on April 24. The group has also shared a video for a lead single, “Seven Degrees,” which finds them jamming on a dirt track as a squad of RC car drivers race around them. You can watch that below.
Something Worth Waiting For marks Friko’s first LP as a quartet, with guitarist Korgan Robb and bassist David Fuller joining founding duo Niko Kapetan and Bailey Minzenberger. It was produced by Mannequin Pussy and Angel Olsen collaborator John Congleton, and recorded at his Los Angeles studio. “If the general theme of the record is transit, then the title gets at the idea of always moving toward something you never quite seem to reach,” Kapetan said in a press statement.
Friko released their debut album, Where We’ve Been, Where We Go From Here, in February 2024. They shared a deluxe edition of the record in November 2024, and spent the rest of the year playing in Europe and the UK before embarking on a North American tour in spring 2025.
