Green Day's 'Idiot Nation' Channel to Launch on SiriusXM
Green Day is launching their own SiriusXM channel, 'Idiot Nation,' featuring hand-picked tracks, live recordings, and a monthly show hosted by Tré Cool.

The dedicated channel will launch on April 20 and feature drummer Tré Cool hosting the monthly "Ground Support" show highlighting groups GD have toured with.
Green Day are getting their own dedicated SiriusXM channel. The broadcaster announced the upcoming launch of the dedicated Green Day’s Idiot Nation on Wednesday morning (April 15), revealing that group members singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool created the channel “fueled by their lifelong obsession” with punk rock.
"We’re absolutely stoked to have our very own channel on SiriusXM to share all the songs we love. The ones that made us pick up guitars, pile into vans, and chase something loud and real,” the band said in a statement about the channel slated to launch on April 20. “We’re digging into everything including bands we love, old Green Day demos, live tracks, deep cuts, and telling the stories behind it all. Come hang with us, and let it rip!”
The channel will be available to subscribers on channel 314 and anytime on the SiriusXM app and feature a bespoke mix of hand-selected tracks from the group, their inspirations and contemporary acts they love.
According to a release, Idiot Nation will feature Green Day’s earliest demos, covers and live recordings, as well as their biggest, most beloved hits and “essential punk tracks spanning generations, from genre-defining pioneers to new noise from up-and-coming bands.” The band will also share their personal stories from the road and the recording studio, along with “firsthand insights into the artists and songs that influenced their journey.”
In addition, drummer Cool will host the monthly “Ground Support” show, where he will talk about bands Green Day have toured with, as headliners and as fans, including music and behind-the-scenes stories from artists they’ve performed with.
“Green Day has pushed rock music and culture forward for decades and continues to resonate with audiences around the world through their music and message,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM president and chief content officer in a statement. “We are thrilled to give Green Day the space to create a one-of-a-kind listening experience for fans that reflects their unique musical journey.”
The band previously had a Green Day Radio pop-up channel in 2023-2024 tied to their Saviors album. With Idiot Nation, Green Day join a long roster of acts with their own dedicated spot on the SiriusXM dial, including Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Eminem, Bob Marley, Diplo, The Beatles, Pearl Jam, Phish, Grateful Dead, Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen, among others.
