Get ready for a wild ride! A movie inspired by Green Day's own experiences is coming to the big screen.
Inaugural Entertainment announced Tuesday (May 12) that its Green Day-inspired comedy NIMRODS — named after the band’s 1997 Billboard 200 top 10 album Nimrod — will hit theaters this summer. Inaugural Entertainment is partnering with Legion M, the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company, for the release.
Directed by Lee Kirk, NIMRODS is a coming-of-age film that follows three friends who embark on a cross-country road trip to Los Angeles. Their goal? To open for Green Day at a New Year’s Eve show, or so they mistakenly believe. The film draws inspiration from Green Day’s early years of touring.
