Fred again.. has released the complete recording of his historic b2b set with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter. The full performance is now available on YouTube.
The February 27th set at London’s Alexandra Palace was the closing show of Fred’s USB002 tour. It marked Bangalter’s second public performance in 20 years, the first being months earlier when he performed alongside Fred, Busy P, and Erol Alkan at Because Music’s 20th-anniversary celebration in Paris.
The two-hour set, which concluded with Daft Punk’s iconic “One More Time,” was an emotional experience, especially for Fred.
Fred described the set as “the greatest show of my life.” On Instagram, he shared a dream where, at 80 years old, he repeatedly asked nurses to replay the show.
He added, "I usually have a rule that I don’t watch anything back... but yeah with this, I justtttt. Can’t. Stop... Instead I’m just a fan more proud of a sort of human moment than anything else."
