Justin Bieber's recent date night with his wife, Hailey Bieber, in Los Angeles took a turn when the couple was swarmed by paparazzi, leading to a tense confrontation.
On Friday, March 6th, the 32-year-old pop star, leaving Sushi Park in West Hollywood, visibly lost his composure as photographers crowded around him and Hailey in a parking garage.
Footage obtained by TMZ shows a frustrated Justin shielding his face as he and Hailey made their way to a black SUV. Once inside, Bieber threw a half-empty Fiji water bottle in the direction of the paparazzi. The bottle did not hit anyone, and the couple drove away.
Last summer, ahead of the release of his seventh studio album, Swag, Bieber went viral after seemingly confronting intrusive paparazzi, irritably asking, “It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business, is it?” The phrase quickly became a widespread meme.
In April 2025, Bieber criticized the “darkness” in L.A., focusing on the treatment he receives from paparazzi. He shared an Instagram video showing photographers following his every move, often blocking his path to the car.
“Look at these guys, man,” Bieber said disapprovingly from behind his camera, while his security guard repeatedly told the paps to back up.
Having been in the spotlight since his debut in 2009, at just 15 years old, Bieber has long battled with the paparazzi, speaking out against the invasive practice multiple times. The April 2025 incident echoed a similar moment in 2014, when his Ferrari was rear-ended by a persistent photographer.
“There should be laws against what I just experienced,” he posted on X at the time. “We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana…”
