Justin Timberlake DWI Arrest Footage Released: See the Sobriety Test Video

Sag Harbor police released redacted body cam footage on Friday, March 20, related to Justin Timberlake's 2024 DWI arrest. This action follows a legal settlement reached after news outlets filed public records requests. Initially, Timberlake had attempted to block the footage's release but later agreed to redactions as part of the settlement.

Timberlake's arrest occurred in June 2024 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He ultimately pleaded guilty to a lesser impaired-driving charge, resulting in a sentence of 25 hours of community service. As part of his sentence, he also recorded a public service announcement addressing the dangers of driving under the influence.

TMZ
was among the first to publish the body cam footage. The video shows the pop superstar undergoing field sobriety tests after being pulled over in Sag Harbor, NY.

In the video, Timberlake can be heard saying, “Guys, I’m just following my friends back to my house. I’m not doing anything. I’m just following my friends back to my house.”

During the sobriety tests, which included walking a straight line and lifting one foot while counting, Timberlake expressed his nervousness. He was later placed in handcuffs and arrested.

In legal documents filed on March 2, Timberlake’s lawyers argued that the footage depicted him in a vulnerable state and its release would not serve public interest. A Long Island judge initially blocked the release pending a court review.

The Village of Sag Harbor released a statement on March 20, stating, “We are pleased that this matter has now been resolved and the village will be able to comply with its statutory obligation to release the material that is subject to disclosure.” The statement also noted that the material was reviewed and redacted to address public safety and privacy concerns.
