KATSEYE's Manon Announces Temporary Hiatus for Health and Wellbeing
KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman will be taking a temporary break from group activities to focus on her health. The announcement was made via Weverse by HYBE and Geffen Records.
KATSEYE has announced that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from the group to prioritize her health and wellbeing.
The announcement was shared on the KATSEYE fan community on Weverse, posted by HYBE and Geffen Records.
"After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing," the message stated. "We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right. Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding."
The notice was signed "HxG," representing the joint labels of HYBE and Geffen Records. Billboard has reached out to a representative for further comments.
KATSEYE was formed in 2023 through The Debut: Dream Academy, a reality competition series that narrowed down 20 candidates to the final six-member group. Since then, they've released two EPs: 2024's SIS (Soft Is Strong) and 2025's Beautiful Chaos. The latter produced their first two Billboard Hot 100 hits: “Gnarly” (No. 82) and “Gabriela” (No. 26).
At the Grammy Awards earlier this month, KATSEYE was nominated for best new artist and best pop duo/group performance for “Gabriela.” They also performed “Gnarly” as part of the best new artist nominee medley.
Manon Bannerman was born in Switzerland and gained recognition before joining KATSEYE through fashion and lifestyle videos on TikTok and Instagram, starting in 2021.
