Kehlani Announces Self-Titled Album: Everything We Know
Two-time Grammy winner Kehlani announces their highly anticipated, self-titled fifth studio album, arriving April 24th. The album follows the success of their hit single 'Folded' and numerous career milestones.
Exciting news for Kehlani fans! The two-time Grammy winner has officially announced the release of their highly anticipated new album. The self-titled Kehlani, the singer/songwriter’s fifth studio album, is set to drop on April 24th. This release follows their 2024 album, Crash.
The announcement highlights Kehlani’s emotive vocals, insightful storytelling, and genre-bending sound, promising a self-titled project that “presents Kehlani fully in her element — raw, reflective and unapologetically herself.”
The arrival of Kehlani follows a successful 2025, largely thanks to their global R&B/pop crossover anthem “Folded.” The seven-time Grammy nominee secured their first two golden gramophones at the 68th annual ceremony in February, winning Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for “Folded.” Furthermore, on April 29th, Kehlani will receive the Impact Award at Billboard Women in Music 2026, where they will also perform.
“Folded” has propelled Kehlani to new heights, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking their first top 10 hit on that chart. The song also reached No. 1 on three other Billboard charts: Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay. The success of “Folded” led to the release of the “Folded Homage Pack,” featuring remixes by R&B stars Toni Braxton, Brandy, JoJo, Mario, Ne-Yo and Tank. The song has since garnered over 800 million global streams and peaked at No. 22 on Billboard’s Global 200.
Kehlani also released “Out the Window” last year, a second single that reached the top 10 of the Rhythmic Airplay and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
