Liberation Weekend 2026: Laura Jane Grace, Ekko Astral, and Illuminati Hotties to Headline D.C. Festival
Liberation Weekend, the D.C. festival supporting trans liberation and mutual aid, returns for its second year with a powerful lineup headlined by Laura Jane Grace, Ekko Astral, and Illuminati Hotties.

The second annual Liberation Weekend is set to ignite the Black Cat in Washington, D.C., from April 24 to 26. This year's festival promises a potent blend of music and activism, headlined by Laura Jane Grace, Ekko Astral, and Illuminati Hotties (performing Free I.H.).
Beyond the headliners, the festival boasts a diverse lineup including Ezra Furman, Pool Kids, and Pissed Jeans, with afterparties at Transmission adding to the late-night revelry. Expect further lineup announcements for these nightly events soon.
Additional acts include Pretty Bitter, Bambara, Ragana, Pinky Lemon, Snowing, Gladie, Spring Silver, Thisdogllhunt, Eevie Echoes & the Locations, Mx Lonely, and Adult Human Females. Notably, this festival marks a bittersweet moment as it will be Ekko Astral drummer Miri Tyler’s final performance with the band.
