Madeon and Slayyyter Join Forces on Electrifying New Single "Fire Away"
Madeon is gearing up for his first full-length album in seven years, "Victory," and has released "Fire Away," a collaboration with Slayyyter, as the lead single.
Madeon is poised to make a triumphant return with his upcoming album Victory, his first full-length release in seven years. The highly anticipated album is spearheaded by the electrifying single "Fire Away," a collaboration with none other than Slayyyter. The French producer, singer, and songwriter offered fans a sneak peek of the track earlier this month at Coachella, and the response was deafening.
Listeners can dive into "Fire Away" below. Victory is slated for release on June 26 via Mom+Pop and boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Sam Gellaitry and Flatbush Zombies’ Erick the Architect, with Bleachers’ Mikey Freedom Hart lending his guitar skills throughout the record.
According to Madeon, "Fire Away" is "perhaps the most anthemic record on the album," a sentiment he shared in a press release. He elaborated, stating, “It’s a song about love as warfare, words like weapons of the brokenhearted. Slayyyter embodied the other side of the story and her voice took the song to another level, her performance has so much confidence and attitude, she’s electric.”
Slayyyter, equally enthusiastic about the collaboration, expressed her admiration for Madeon in a statement, originally written in all caps: “I’ve been a fan of Madeon for such a long time; I am $o grateful to have gotten to work with him on this record. I love what we made together.”
