Madonna Enlists Peggy Gou for Electrifying 'I Feel So Free' Remix
Madonna taps Peggy Gou for a high-energy remix of 'I Feel So Free' from her upcoming album 'Confessions II'.

Madonna is back, and she's brought Peggy Gou along for the ride! The Queen of Pop has enlisted the South Korean DJ and producer to remix her single ‘I Feel So Free’ from the upcoming ‘Confessions II’ album. Check it out below.
Last month, Madonna officially released ‘I Feel So Free’ as the first taste of her new studio album, which drops on July 3. Before the official release, the track made a low-key debut on LGBTQ+ radio station Pride Radio and was performed live during her surprise appearance with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella.
Now, Peggy Gou has unleashed her remix: a high-energy, ‘90s dance-flavored take on the song, built around clattering drums and squelchy synths.

The original version of ‘I Feel So Free’ included an interpolation of Lil Louis’ 1989 Chicago house classic ‘French Kiss.’ Like the rest of ‘Confessions II,’ it was produced by Madonna and Stuart Price, who also produced its predecessor, ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor.’
Since then, she has released ‘Bring Your Love’, a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, which also premiered at Coachella.
Speaking about the album, Madonna stated: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: a ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”
“We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years – they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect – with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people. Sound, light, and vibration reshape our perceptions. Pulling us into a trance-like state. The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it but we feel it. Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time.”
Following her Coachella appearance, she made a surprise appearance at the LGBTQ+ club The Abbey in West Hollywood last month to debut new music at an invite-only event billed as ‘Club Confessions Los Angeles.’
Appearing at the DJ booth around 1 am, Madonna was joined by Price and Addison Rae, while Romy of The xx and Mez Monty also performed.
The new record marks Madonna’s first since her 14th album ‘Madame X’, which arrived in 2019. Around the time of that release, the ‘Like A Virgin’ singer spoke to NME about her relationship with being in the public eye.
“It has its pluses and minuses,” she revealed. “The great thing about being famous is that you have a voice and you can spread messages and fight for people who don’t have the ability to fight for themselves, and share your wealth with people who need help.”
Madonna has also been confirmed as one of the co-headliners for the first ever FIFA World Cup halftime show, alongside Shakira and BTS.
