Mariah Carey Ushers in Milano Cortina Winter Olympics with Stunning Performance
Mariah Carey traded her Christmas crown for a snow queen aesthetic, headlining the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics at Milan's San Siro Stadium.

Mariah Carey shifted out of Christmas mode into more of a snow queen vibe as the headliner of today's Opening Ceremony for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
Performing live at Milan's San Siro Stadium, Carey sang two songs. First, in Italian, she sang Domenico Modugno's classic "Nel Blu, Dipinto Di Blu" (translation: "In The Blue, Painted Blue"), also known as "Volare" (translation: "To Fly"), which has been previously covered by everyone from Dean Martin to David Bowie to Barry White. She then, in English, sang a shortened version of "Nothing Is Impossible" from her recent album Here For It All.

Also performing at the ceremony were Italian legends Andrea Bocelli and Laura Pausini, the renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang with Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli, and the Italian-Tunisian rapper Ghali. Italian actors Pierfrancesco Favino and Sabrina Impacciatore were part of the production too. As far as we know, no penis steroids were used in the making of this ceremony.
Bobsledder Frank Del Duca and speed skating gold medalist Erin Jackson were Team USA’s flag bearers. The US delegation was led by Vice President J.D. Vance; the International Olympic Committee asked fans not to boo him.
Speaking of booing, Canadians were outraged to see famous Canuck Tate McRae betraying her country by appearing in a promo video for Team USA. McRae responded on her Instagram story Wednesday with a photo of herself as a child captioned, "y’all know I’m Canada down."
Taylor Swift, who just released a new video, is also involved in the Olympics via a video message to competing athletes:
