Mike D Announces First Ever Solo UK and European Tour
Beastie Boys' Mike D is embarking on his first ever solo tour in the UK and Europe, hitting intimate venues and festivals across the continent.

The Beastie Boys' Mike D has officially announced his first ever UK and European solo shows, slated to begin this summer. This exciting news follows his recent surprise appearance on stage with his sons, Davis and Skyler (who form the indie-dance band Very Nice Person), where they performed a couple of Beastie Boys classics.
Shortly after that surprise performance, he announced a couple of live solo shows in the US, including a gig at the Plaza Nightclub & Dance Hall in Los Angeles, where he debuted new solo material. Just last week, he surprised fans further with his debut solo single, ‘Switch Up’.
Now, Mike D is taking his solo act across the pond, playing in intimate and unconventional venues across Europe.
The tour kicks off with two shows at 26 Leake Street in London on June 5 and 6. He will then head to Berlin for a show at Saalchen, followed by headline shows in Barcelona, Kortrijk, and Sint-Niklaas.

Up until now, Mike D hasn’t toured as a Beastie Boy since the passing of his bandmate Adam “MCA” Yauch in 2012. The last release from the hip-hop pioneers was a deluxe reissue of their 2004 album, ‘To The Five Boroughs’, earlier this year.
