Neil Young Intensifies Boycott, Targets Apple and Verizon Over Trump Support
Neil Young escalates his boycott against companies supporting Donald Trump, now including Apple and Verizon, citing their financial ties and perceived alignment with the 'Fascist Trump Regime'.
Neil Young is doubling down on his boycotts. After previously ditching Facebook and Instagram over Meta's chatbot practices and removing his music from Amazon Music due to Jeff Bezos' support of Donald Trump, he's now targeting companies like Apple and Verizon for their alleged support of the former president.
In a recent post on Neil Young Archives, he detailed his decision:
> Mornin' folks….It's a new day….a big day for my Flip phone. I noticed it says VERIZON on it. Of course I can't use a Verizon phone. Verizon is a supporter of TRUMP with big $! What can i do? I'm checking with our office to see if i can get a T-Mobile Flip phone. T-Mobile is not a supporter of the Trump Fascist regime.

> This is not a joke. i love my old Flip! One idea i have to keep Flip is just to change services and drop Verizon service like a cold fish. It's the money i give Verizon for my service that's doing the damage! Not my old phone I bought years ago. This might work! I'm going to see if I can just drop Verizon and move to T-Mobile.

> On the Editorial page here at NYATC, I follow the list of companies backing the Fascist Trump Regime. One by one, I am cancelling all contact with each of them. This is not easy, but the alternative - me giving money I got from you to the Regime that backed the illegal killings of two Americans. That can't happen. So I keep going back to the list on Editorial Page 5 of the NYATC. I listen to the man in the left column, telling me what I can do to help, and I am trying to do it. I'm trying to not support the companies that support the regime with huge donations, just to cover their own asses, while people are being shot on the streets of America, not just Minnesota, AMERICA!

This isn't the first time Young has taken a stand. He recently gifted his discography to Greenland in response to Trump's interest in seizing the territory and has been vocal against ICE policies.
