Oasis Reunion Documentary: A Look at the Band's Triumphant Return

The highly anticipated documentary about the Oasis reunion is slated for release this fall. Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, is credited as the doc's creator, while Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for co-directing the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits and the film adaptation of Meet Me In The Bathroom, will direct.

The film, currently untitled, will have a limited theatrical release starting September 11th, followed by streaming on Disney+ later in the year.

While an excellent Oasis documentary, Oasis: Supersonic, already exists, charting the band's rise in the 1990s and culminating with the legendary 1996 gigs at Knebworth, this new film promises an "unapologetically uplifting" look at their triumphant 2025 reunion tour.

It will feature footage from the stage and behind the scenes, as well as explore what Oasis' music means to their dedicated fanbase. Disney, Magna Studios, and Sony Music Vision are co-producing the project.

Knight shared his enthusiasm for the project:

> I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.

The movie will be available internationally on Disney+. In the US, it will stream on Hulu and Disney+. While the streaming debut date is yet to be announced, the film will be in IMAX and standard theaters starting September 11th.
