Olivia Rodrigo Debuts 'Drop Dead' Live During Addison Rae's Coachella Set: A Surprise Duet and Solo Performance
Olivia Rodrigo made a surprise appearance at Coachella, joining Addison Rae on "Headphones On" before premiering her new single "Drop Dead" live.

Olivia Rodrigo surprised fans at Coachella on Saturday, taking the stage during Addison Rae’s set to debut her new single “Drop Dead” live.
During Rae’s performance of “Headphones On,” she paused after the lyric “I compare myself to the new It Girl,” leading to Rodrigo's unexpected entrance.
The two artists then sang the rest of “Headphones On” together, after which Rae ceded the stage to Rodrigo. Rodrigo seized the opportunity to perform her You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love single live for the first time.
While Rodrigo hasn't performed her own Coachella set, she previously made an unannounced cameo during No Doubt’s reunion set in 2024, joining them for “Bathwater.”
“Drop Dead,” the Cure-inspired single from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, was released on Friday. Rodrigo shared on Instagram, “I love this song so much!!! It’s the first chapter in the story of ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ and it makes me wanna skip around and roll the windows down and make out!”
You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, nicknamed GSIL by fans, will be available June 12 via Geffen Records. Before that, Rodrigo will pull double duty on Saturday Night Live on May 2.
