Olivia Rodrigo Reveals 'You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love' Album Tracklist, Divided into Two Sides
Olivia Rodrigo's highly anticipated third album, 'You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,' will be conceptually split into two distinct sides, mirroring the emotional duality of the music.
The upcoming third album from Olivia Rodrigo, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, is generating buzz with its unique structure. Mirroring the classic LP or cassette format, the album will be divided into two sides, potentially reflecting the contrasting moods within the music. "Girl So in Love" will feature seven tracks, while "You Seem Pretty Sad" will contain six. The full conceptual meaning will be unveiled upon the album's release on June 12.
Rodrigo herself announced the news via Instagram. The accompanying photo shows her in a pink babydoll dress, seemingly pensive as she reaches for a swing.

The album, whose cover art depicts Rodrigo on a swing, mid-flip, was initially announced in April. Since then, she has already released the singles "Drop Dead" and "The Cure". She has once again collaborated with Dan Nigro. "Dan is just such a genius," Rodrigo told Zane Lowe. "He knows me so well and knows my type of songwriting and my artistic inclination. I can just bring him a song and he has this innate ability to be like, ‘Oh, this song is good because of this. Let’s bring this out in the song,'"
According to Rodrigo, the album delves into "sad love songs". She told British Vogue, "I realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them."
