Riley Green Joins 'The Voice' as a Coach for Season 30

Riley Green is taking his talents to The Voice! The country music sensation announced his new role as a coach for the show's 30th season.

The 37-year-old revealed the news on social media ahead of his concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia. He's currently touring North America on his Cowboy As It Gets tour.

"I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice,” Green posted on his Instagram.

He will be joining previously announced coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. The upcoming season of The Voice will air on NBC and stream on Peacock this fall. Last season's winner, Alexia Jayy, was on Levine's team.

Green’s announcement included a clip of a voicemail from Clarkson, who welcomed him to The Voice and playfully warned him about the competition.

"That is officially the last time we’re gonna use each other’s full name ’cause we’re not tools,” she joked in the message. She also mentioned she’s a “superfan” and sent him a personalized The Voice coach chair adorned with duck calls, suggesting he'll need the practice.

Host Carson Daly congratulated Green on his new role, commenting, “Welcome to the fam!! Can’t wait to hang! You drink right? Pls God say yes.”

Green has been enjoying a successful run in country music, with four No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, including “Worst Way” and “You Look Like You Love Me” with Ella Langley. He has also received multiple CMA and ACM Awards.

He is also set to perform at the upcoming ACM Awards on May 17, where he is nominated for male artist of the year, album of the year [for Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe)], artist-songwriter of the year, and music event of the year for “Don’t Mind If I Do,” featuring Langley.

In April, Green made his acting debut on the CBS series Marshals, playing Garrett, a former Navy SEAL.
