Ringo Starr has announced his new album, Long Long Road, slated for release on April 24. The album boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, and St. Vincent.
The former Beatles drummer unveiled the record alongside the first single, “It’s Been Too Long,” which features backing vocals from Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz. The track blends Starr’s recent country influences with elements of psychedelia and early rock & roll.

Long Long Road arrives a year after Starr’s previous album, Look Up, which also featured contributions from Strings, Tuttle, Lucius, and Larkin Poe. Both albums were produced by T Bone Burnett.
"I’m blessed to have T Bone in my life right now and working with me on these records,” Starr stated. "After we did the last record, which I love listening to, this one just sort of happened... one of the right moves was hooking up with T Bone for Look Up, and now for this one, which I’m calling Long Long Road, because I’ve been on a long long road."
Starr recorded Long Long Road in Nashville, collaborating with many of the same musicians from Look Up, including Paul Franklin, David Mansfield, Dennis Crouch, Daniel Tashian, Rory Hoffman, Patrick Warren, and Colin Linden. Burnett has dubbed the group the Texans, referencing both the music's style and a band Starr played with in Liverpool before joining the Beatles.
Look Up marked a significant release for Starr, reaching the Top 40 of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and Number 12 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart.
Following the album release, Starr will embark on a North American tour, commencing May 28 in Temecula, California, and concluding June 14 in Los Angeles.
