Rolling Loud Australia 2026 Cancelled: Last-Minute Scrapping Angers Fans
Rolling Loud Australia 2026 has been called off just a week before it was set to kick off in Sydney and Melbourne, leaving fans disappointed and organizers pointing fingers.

Unfortunately, Rolling Loud Australia 2026 has been scrapped just a week before showtime. The highly anticipated hip-hop festival was set to make its return for the first time since 2019, expanding to two east-coast cities.
Gunna was slated to headline the event, scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at Sydney’s Centennial Park and Sunday, March 8 at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse. These shows have now been cancelled.
A statement posted on Rolling Loud Australia’s social channels and official website reads: “We’re really disappointed to announce that Rolling Loud Australia in Sydney and Melbourne will not move forward.”
The organizers are blaming local partners Primuse Entertainment, alleging failure to meet crucial deadlines and obligations. "These ongoing delays left us without the necessary guarantees so close to the event," the statement claims. Ticket holders are promised refunds, with details forthcoming from event organizers and ticketing partners.
"This one hurts," the message concludes, expressing the disappointment of the Rolling Loud team.
The lineup included a host of international performers, such as Ken Carson, Sexyy Red, Tyga, Swae Lee, Lil Tjay, Ski Mask the Slump God, NLE Choppa, Quavo, Ian, and rising rapper Osamason.
Billboard has reached out to Primuse Australia for comment. Their media release states: “We are aware of media reports regarding Rolling Loud Australia. As the local promoter, we are currently in discussion with Rolling Loud and will provide an official update as soon as possible. We ask fans to wait for confirmed information, which will be communicated directly via our official channels.”
This cancellation adds to the growing list of festival setbacks in Australia. Events like Esoteric Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Groovin the Moo, and Listen Out have recently paused or disappeared altogether. Bluesfest director Peter Noble described the situation in June 2024 as an “extinction event” for festivals, citing rising operational costs, inflation, and changing consumer behaviors.
