An estimated 2 million fans flocked to Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro this past Saturday to witness Shakira's electrifying free concert. The Colombian superstar delivered a high-energy performance featuring nearly 30 songs.
The setlist was packed with hits, including "Hips Don’t Lie," "She Wolf," "BZRP Music Sessions #53," "La Tortura," "Waka Waka," "Whenever, Wherever," and "Choka Choka." The latter featured a surprise appearance by Anitta, adding to the excitement.
"I arrived here when I was 18 years old, dreaming about singing for you," Shakira told the massive crowd early in the show. "And now look at this. Life is magical."
Shakira's performance continues a recent trend of major female artists performing free concerts at Copacabana Beach, following Madonna in 2024 and Lady Gaga in 2025. Lady Gaga's show drew a reported 2.5 million people.
Local government officials anticipate that Shakira's concert will generate approximately $150 million in tourism revenue for the city.
