Snoop Dogg Shares Message of Support After Daughter's Infant Loss
Snoop Dogg offers heartfelt support to his daughter, Cori Broadus, after the tragic loss of her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux.
Snoop Dogg has publicly shared a message of support for his daughter, Cori Broadus, following the devastating loss of her infant daughter. The outpouring of condolences and tributes continues as the family grieves.
On Saturday, January 31st, Snoop Dogg posted a family photograph on Instagram featuring Cori, adding a sparkling heart and folded hands emoji. While he refrained from a written message, the comments section was flooded with messages of sympathy and prayers for the Broadus family.
Earlier that same day, Cori Broadus shared the heartbreaking news that her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, had passed away on January 26th, a mere 20 days after returning home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Codi had been born three months prematurely.
"Monday, I lost the love of my life," Broadus wrote on her Instagram Story, accompanying the message with a photo of her holding her beloved baby. "My Codi."
Wayne Deuce, Broadus's fiancé and Codi's father, also expressed his grief on social media. "I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux," he shared on his Instagram Story. "But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you."
Earlier in January, Broadus had posted footage of Codi's homecoming after her extended stay in the hospital. she wrote
She wrote in a January 6th Instagram post, "She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all."
Broadus announced Codi's birth last February, revealing that she had gone into labor at just 25 weeks. "The princess arrived at 6 months," she wrote at the time. "I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!"
She continued, "Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far."
Throughout the months that followed, Broadus consistently updated her followers on her daughter's progress, including a post during NICU Awareness Month in September. "Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story," she wrote. "I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day."
Cori Broadus is the youngest child of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus. At the time of this publication, Snoop Dogg had not yet publicly commented on the passing of his granddaughter, but he has now.
