Experimental indie-rock trio Son Lux, comprised of Ryan Lott, Rafiq Bhatia, and Ian Chang, are making a powerful return. Alongside announcing a comprehensive world tour, they've revealed details about their forthcoming album, Out Into, slated for release on September 18 via This Is Meru/City Slang. Fans can now listen to the lead single, "Endlessly," and find the full list of tour dates below.

"Endlessly" was initially conceived for the Bluecoats, a marching ensemble based in Ohio. However, Son Lux recognized that the song's essence aligned more closely with the new album's exploration of paradoxes and refined spontaneity. Lott describes Out Into as a journey into uncharted sonic territory, emphasizing their reverence for initial creative sparks. "We’re going places we’ve never gone before in terms of energy, attitude, color," Lott said of Out Into. "And it all comes from having reverence for those initial sparks, for treating the voice memo version of the idea as the most sacred iteration."

Son Lux's previous endeavor was a trilogy of albums—Tomorrows 1, Tomorrows 2, and Tomorrows 3—launched during the peak of the pandemic. Subsequently, they dedicated their efforts to crafting original scores, notably for 2022’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, which garnered them an Oscar nomination, and the upcoming 2025 film Thunderbolts.
