Spice Girls Reunion: Mel C Teases Tour with Victoria Beckham, 'She Needs That Experience'

Mel C has teased the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion tour including Victoria Beckham, expressing that Beckham needs to “have that experience” performing live on stage.

The iconic girl group previously embarked on a comeback stadium tour in 2019, although Beckham (aka Posh Spice) did not participate. The last time all five members shared a stage was at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.

However, in 2024, Mel C, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Beckham reunited for a surprise performance of ‘Stop’ at Posh’s 50th birthday celebration.

Beckham further fueled reunion rumors last autumn after attending an Oasis Live ’25 concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, where the Spice Girls famously played three dates in 2019. She shared a photo from the Oasis gig, captioning it with the word “Tempting” and tagging her former bandmates.

During a recent interview on Heart Breakfast, Mel C (Sporty Spice) addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding a Spice Girls tour to commemorate their 30th anniversary.

"Well, this is the thing,” the singer told host Amanda Holden. “If you remember, looking back to 2019 when we did our stadium tour, Victoria wasn’t with us.”

Suggesting that Beckham would enjoy performing in front of thousands of fans at massive venues once again, she added: “So, she has to have that experience.”

She continued, reflecting on reuniting with Beckham, Halliwell-Horner, and Bunton at the latter’s 50th birthday. “We missed Melanie B – she wasn’t there, sadly,” Sporty continued. “But the four of us, the rest of us, were there and it was so lovely.

“And you know what it’s like, it was a big birthday. So, you feel very nostalgic. So, we’re probably closer now than we have been in a very long time, and I’m always keeping my fingers crossed.”

Towards the end of last year, Mel C expressed optimism about a tour coinciding with the Spice Girls’ 30th anniversary. Earlier in 2023, she stated that she felt “it’s time” for another series of shows.

Last March, Halliwell-Horner hinted at future plans involving Beckham, stating, “My hope is we come back together as a collective. It’s more respectful to come as one.” She also mentioned that all five members are currently active in a group chat.

In 2022, Beckham dampened hopes by stating she “couldn’t commit” to a full live tour due to her commitments in fashion and beauty. However, her recent comments about being “tempted” to return to the stage have reignited reunion rumors among fans.

Mel C is scheduled to release her new solo album, ‘Sweat’, on May 1. She has already released the title track and the single ‘What Could Possibly Go Wrong?’
