Teyana Taylor Confronts Individual After Oscars Ceremony: 'He Literally Shoved Me'
Teyana Taylor reportedly confronted an individual after the 2026 Oscars ceremony, alleging physical contact as she attempted to join her castmates for a celebratory photo.

Teyana Taylor experienced a rollercoaster of emotions at the 2026 Academy Awards, celebrating the success of Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. The actress, who starred in the film, was seated next to Leonardo DiCaprio and celebrated Anderson's wins for Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Taylor's mood shifted, however, as she attempted to join the rest of the cast for a celebratory photo. A video surfaced showing Taylor confronting an unidentified person, stating, “because you’re a man putting your hands on a female.”
She repeatedly accused the person of being “very rude” and claimed, “he literally shoved me,” while being led away by a companion attempting to de-escalate the situation.
The incident reportedly occurred moments after the Oscars broadcast concluded. According to TMZ, Taylor, a nominee for Best Supporting Actress, was trying to reach the stage for the Best Picture photograph alongside Warner Bros. co-CEO Pamela Abdy when a security guard allegedly intervened, physically blocking them from proceeding up the stairs.
Sources speaking to TMZ stated that the security guard used his body to obstruct Taylor and made physical contact while preventing her passage, leading to the confrontation. The guard reportedly requested an apology from Taylor for her reaction. As of now, neither representatives for the Oscars nor Taylor have responded to Billboard’s request for comment.
Despite losing the Best Supporting Actress award to Amy Madigan (Weapons), Taylor celebrated PTA’s victories and Sean Penn's Best Supporting Actor win for his role in the film. Penn was not present to accept his award.
