The Killers surprised fans at Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, Colombia, on Saturday night (March 21), by bringing out Arcade Fire’s Win Butler during their encore. The crowd at Parque Simón Bolívar erupted as Brandon Flowers introduced Butler, expressing his admiration for Arcade Fire's influence on The Killers.
"We’ve got a little treat for everyone," Flowers announced. "One of our favorite bands is Arcade Fire... Anyway, that’s what Win Butler does for us."
The collaboration kicked off with The Killers covering Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ earlier in their set. Later, with Butler joining them onstage, they launched into ‘Rebellion (Lies)’ from Arcade Fire's 2004 debut album, ‘Funeral,’ followed by The Killers’ own anthem, ‘When You Were Young,’ the lead single from their 2006 album ‘Sam’s Town.’ The show concluded with the ever-popular ‘Mr. Brightside.’

Earlier in the set, The Killers also welcomed Travis frontman Fran Healy, joining them for a rendition of Travis’s 2001 hit, ‘Side.’

This isn't the first time Brandon Flowers has shared the stage recently. In January, he performed ‘When You Were Young’ with Dawes at the Concert For Altadena, a benefit show supporting victims of the California wildfires. They also covered Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The Promised Land.’
Looking ahead, Flowers has hinted at a potential 2027 release for the eighth Killers album, following the completion of his next solo project and tour.
On a personal note, Win Butler recently announced his split from Régine Chassagne in October, ending their 22-year marriage.
