The Rolling Stones have tapped Odessa A’zion—known for her roles in Marty Supreme, I Love LA, and more—for the inaugural video from their new album, Foreign Tongues. The video for “In the Stars,” directed by Francois Rousselet, showcases a digitally de-aged version of the band performing at a house party alongside A’zion, who is seen dancing and then suggestively licking a deepfaked Mick Jagger.
The Stones’ Hackney Diamonds follow-up is slated for release on July 10 via Capitol. The album boasts an impressive roster of contributors, including Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, and Steve Winwood, with Andrew Watt returning as producer. The late Stones’ drummer, Charlie Watts, will also feature on several tracks carried over from the Hackney sessions.
The rollout for the record began in April, marked by posters advertising their “Cockroaches” pseudonym appearing in London’s Camden Town. Subsequently, The Times of London revealed that a single, “Rough and Twisted,” would be released under the same moniker on April 11 as a white-label vinyl exclusive.
Keith Richards shared in a press release, “The Foreign Tongues album has a continuity from Hackney Diamonds, and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us. It was a month of concentrated punch. To me, it’s all about the enjoyment of it.”
