They Might Be Giants Drop Unexpected 'Wu-Tang' Single, Announce New Album
They Might Be Giants surprise fans with a new single, "Wu-Tang," and announce their upcoming album, The World Is To Dig, set for release in April.

Less than a month after dropping their Eyeball EP, the original nerd-pop band They Might Be Giants are back with news of a new LP. Due out in April, The World Is To Dig marks their first full-length album since 2021's BOOK. The lead single? It's called "Wu-Tang."
Yes, the chorus of this upbeat power-pop tune features John Linnell and John Flansburgh chanting the phrase repeatedly, escalating into higher registers. According to a press release, the song celebrates the Wu-Tang Clan as "a transformative force and a guiding light through inner conflict and personal struggle." While They Might Be Giants have a history of creating music for children, "Wu-Tang" isn't explicitly geared towards kids, though they might still enjoy it.
