Timeless Appeal: Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere" Enters Billboard Global 200 Chart Nearly 40 Years After Release
Fleetwood Mac's classic hit "Everywhere" makes a splash on the Billboard Global 200, proving its enduring popularity decades after its initial release.

Nearly four decades after its release, Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” has secured a spot among the top 200 songs globally.
The enduring track entered the Billboard Global 200 chart on April 18 at No. 188, driven by 9.6 million streams worldwide between April 3-9, according to Luminate. The song's resurgence can be attributed to its use in commercials for major brands like Chevrolet and PayPal (the latter featuring Will Ferrell).
“Everywhere” originally appeared on Fleetwood Mac’s 1987 album, Tango in the Night. As the album's fourth single, it peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1988, marking the band's most recent top 20 hit. Written and sung by Christine McVie, and co-produced by Lindsey Buckingham, the track features the band’s classic lineup including Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks.
Notably, “Everywhere” also reached No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, following the album's earlier hit, “Little Lies”.
Since the launch of the Global 200 in September 2020, Fleetwood Mac has charted four songs. The first was “Dreams,” which reached No. 10 in October 2020, echoing its 1977 success on the Hot 100 following a viral TikTok moment.
Currently, “Dreams” holds the No. 40 spot on the Global 200, boasting 19.2 million streams worldwide.
Furthermore, two other '70s classics from the band's catalog have achieved new Global 200 milestones this year: “Landslide” peaked at No. 123 in January, and “The Chain” reached a new high of No. 102 on the latest chart.
Numerous artists have covered “Everywhere,” including The Corrs, Niall Horan and Anne-Marie, Chaka Khan, Lissie, and Hayley Sabella. Sabella praised the song to Billboard in 2018, calling it “pop music at its best” and noting its ability to evoke positive feelings.
She elaborated, “Lyrically, it frames falling in love with giddiness, but also with a degree of anxiety and discomfort... As sweet as the sentiment is, ‘I want to be with you everywhere’ is more of a nervous confession than a bold proclamation. I love that. It’s very human, very believable.”
