Tyler, The Creator to Ignite the Grammys Stage: Hip-Hop Representation Soars

Tyler, The Creator is officially slated to perform at the 2026 Grammy Awards, further amplifying the hip-hop presence at this year's ceremony. He joins the previously announced Clipse and Pharrell Williams, promising a vibrant showcase for the genre.

Pharrell Williams notably produced and features on Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, an album nominated for Album of the Year. Adding to the star-studded lineup, Lauryn Hill, a hip-hop icon whose The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill made history in 1999 by becoming the first hip-hop album to win Album of the Year, will perform a tribute to the late Roberta Flack and D’Angelo.

Tyler, at 34, boasts an impressive six nominations this year. His CHROMAKOPIA, which topped the Billboard 200, is up for Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and Best Album Cover. Additionally, DON’T TAP THE GLASS, another Billboard 200 chart-topper, is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album. He also received nods for Best Rap Performance for “Darling, I” (featuring Teezo Touchdown) and Best Rap Song for “Sticky” (featuring GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne).

The simultaneous nominations in both rap and alternative categories underscore Tyler’s artistic versatility, a feat previously achieved by the Beastie Boys. In 1999, their Billboard 200-topping album Hello Nasty clinched the Best Alternative Music Performance Grammy, while the track “Intergalactic” secured Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

Other performers announced include Addison Rae, Alex Warren, Andrew Watt, Brandy Clark, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, Justin Bieber, KATSEYE, Lady Gaga, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Lukas Nelson, Olivia Dean, Post Malone, Reba McEntire, ROSÉ, Sabrina Carpenter, Slash, sombr and The Marías.

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 1st at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+. Trevor Noah will host the show for the sixth consecutive year, marking his final stint. He will be the first person to host six consecutive Grammy telecasts since Andy Williams hosted the first seven live telecasts from 1971-77.

The 2026 Grammy Awards are produced by Fulwell Entertainment for the Recording Academy, with Ben Winston, Raj Kapoor, Jesse Collins, and Noah serving as executive producers.

Expect further performer announcements in the days leading up to the event.
