When We Were Young Festival Announces Hiatus: What's Next for the Emo Extravaganza?
The When We Were Young Festival is taking a break in 2026, but organizers promise a return in 2027. Here's what fans can expect.

Festival organizers have announced that When We Were Young will be taking a break in 2026. However, fans can rest assured that the emo-themed music festival will return to Las Vegas in 2027.
The announcement was made via an Instagram post, stating, "To our When We Were Young Family, the songs, the memories, the moments — none of it exists without you. After an unforgettable run in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves and to make sure what comes next feels just as special as what came before."

Organizers did not specify the reason for the hiatus.
The festival has been a staple since 2022, held annually at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Produced by Live Nation, it has featured headliners like Green Day, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, and The Killers.
Last year's lineup included a reunited Panic! at the Disco, Weezer, Avril Lavigne, and more.
In 2024, My Chemical Romance performed The Black Parade in its entirety, alongside sets from Nada Surf, 3OH!3, New Found Glory, and others.
