The BRIT Awards 2026 are shaping up to be an unforgettable night, with Wolf Alice now added to the star-studded lineup. The ceremony will be held at the Co-op Live on Saturday, February 28, a historic moment as it's the first time the event takes place in Manchester in its nearly 50-year history.

Olivia Dean was the first performer announced earlier this month, followed by Harry Styles. Styles' performance comes three years after his last appearance on the BRITs stage, coinciding with the announcement of his new album ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’ and its lead single ‘Aperture’.
Now, Wolf Alice joins the ranks, bringing their signature sound to the prestigious stage. The band is nominated for three awards this year: Group of the Year, Alternative/Rock Act, and Mastercard Album of the Year for their acclaimed album ‘The Clearing’.
This performance follows their unforgettable set at Glastonbury last summer and the announcement of their massive outdoor show at London’s Finsbury Park, where they will be joined by The Last Dinner Party, Lykke Li, Rachel Chinouriri, Keo, and Florence Road.
"We’re truly honoured to get the opportunity to play this year’s BRIT Awards,” said bassist Theo Ellis. “Can’t wait to see what everyone’s wearing, can’t wait to see who else is playing, can’t wait to have 10 mini wines (after we play). Most of all can’t wait for a big night out in Manny. Make sure to tune in and watch it all live on the telly.”

In addition to the performances, Jack Whitehall returns to host for the sixth time, and the trophy, designed by Matthew Williamson, has been unveiled.
Jacob Alon has been named the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. Other artists with multiple nominations include Olivia Dean, Lola Young, Sam Fender, Lily Allen, and Jim Legxacy.
The public can vote for Song of the Year with Mastercard and International Song of the Year starting tomorrow (Friday, January 30) at 12 PM GMT via WhatsApp, until February 13.
ITV will broadcast the BRIT Awards for the 34th year, airing on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player. Live performances will also be available on YouTube.
Beyond the BRITs, Wolf Alice is set to perform at the ‘Trans Mission’ charity show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley in March and headline the Teenage Cancer Trust series at the Royal Albert Hall. They also have headline slots at Tramlines Festival, Kendal Calling, and Eden Sessions, with appearances at TRNSMT, Mad Cool, and NOS Alive.
Their album ‘The Clearing’ received a five-star review and secured the Number 11 spot on NME’s 50 best albums of 2025 list. The single ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’ reached Number 12 on NME’s 50 best songs of the year.
Frontwoman Ellie Rowsell contributed to the ‘Help(2)’ charity album for War Child and provided backing vocals for Harry Styles’ single, ‘Aperture’.
The band previously won Group Of The Year at the 2022 BRIT Awards and were nominated for Best Rock/Alternative Act that same year, and shortlisted for British Breakthrough Act in 2016.
In a recent interview with NME, the band discussed their journey to arena status. Theo Ellis noted, “We’ve grown at the right pace. We’ve done things when we’ve felt comfortable doing them. We’ve backed ourselves creatively and only when we feel like we could achieve and give the show that we want to give.”
Rowsell added, “No matter how big or small the stage is, it feels like you’re part of a real show – almost like a play. I wanted the songs to have that element of performance in the songwriting itself and the recording, rather than figuring it out afterwards or seeing how it takes shape. People are like, ‘This is your most chilled out album’, and maybe it is, but when we perform, I’m like, ‘No, this feels so different’.”
