Spinnin’ Records Germany has officially launched, marking its debut with the star-studded single "Awake Tonight," featuring Afrojack, David Guetta, and Sia Furler.

This new Berlin-based label is a joint initiative between Warner Music Central Europe and Spinnin’ Records. It aims to foster opportunities for artists across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (GSA), while also welcoming international talent. Artists will gain access to Spinnin's extensive global network, reaching over 40 million dance music enthusiasts.

Regional artists will be integrated into Spinnin's established teams across the United States, the United Kingdom, Benelux, Germany, and China.

Niels Walboomers, president of Warner Music Central Europe and Spinnin’ Records, stated, "The launch of Spinnin’ Records Germany marks a pivotal moment in our strategy to bridge the gap between regional excellence and global stardom. By uniting the heritage of Spinnin’ alongside the creative energy and dance scene of the GSA region, we are creating something special."

"Awake Tonight," a strings-infused track premiered live at Ultra Miami, represents the first collaboration between Guetta and Sia in 15 years, since their hit "Titanium."

Founded in the Netherlands in 1999 by Roger de Graaf and Eelko van Kooten, Spinnin' Records became a cornerstone of the EDM era. Its roster included influential artists such as Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Martin Solveig, Nicky Romero, and Sander van Doorn. The label also hosts artist imprints like Tiësto’s Musical Freedom and David Guetta’s Future Rave. In 2019, Spinnin' Records expanded internationally, focusing on the Brazilian market by signing Alok and launching Spinnin' Records Asia.

In 2017, Warner Music acquired Spinnin' Records for a reported $100 million. Following the acquisition, van Kooten departed to launch Ledo, a digital distribution platform connecting artists with social media influencers. De Graaf retired in 2024.

According to Marco Pantuso, marketing director at Spinnin’ Records, "By launching Spinnin’ Records Germany, we’re evolving our ecosystem to ensure that the talent in the genre across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria has a direct pipeline to our global fanbases and artists. This is a world-class platform designed to amplify club culture on an international scale."

Kevin Segler, dance marketing director at Warner Music Central Europe, added, "We believe in the power of local expertise and the impact of a global network. With the teams in Hamburg, Berlin, and Amsterdam working in lockstep, we’re providing a unique proposition for artists."
