Barry Manilow Postpones Vegas Residency Following Lung Cancer Surgery, Focuses on Recovery and Tour
Barry Manilow is delaying his Las Vegas residency to prioritize recovery from recent lung cancer surgery, but assures fans he's doing well and preparing for his upcoming tour.

Barry Manilow is prioritizing his health after undergoing surgery for stage one lung cancer. While the operation was a success, he's postponing his upcoming Las Vegas residency to focus on recovery and preparation for his tour.
The pop veteran was scheduled to perform at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21, but those dates have been scrapped based on his doctor's advice.
"I’m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery," Manilow shared in a social media post. "I’ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic."
He added that the additional downtime will allow him to "stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that’s kicking off at the end of February. Having a few extra weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!"
No replacement dates have been announced for the postponed Las Vegas shows, and tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. Manilow is scheduled to return to the Westgate on March 26, 27 and 28, as part of a national tour that begins February 27 at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, FL.
Despite the health setback, Manilow recently achieved a chart milestone with his latest release, “Once Before I Go,” extending his run on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart to over 51 years since his debut with “Mandy” in 1974.
