Barry Manilow Postpones Las Vegas Residency to Focus on Recovery After Surgery

Barry Manilow is on the mend following his surgery but requires additional recovery time before returning to the stage.

The singer, initially scheduled to perform at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21, has announced a postponement of these dates. This decision follows Manilow's December announcement that he underwent surgery to remove a "cancerous spot" on his lung.

"I’m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery," Manilow shared in a statement on social media. "I’ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic."

He continued, "With my doctor’s guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that’s kicking off at the end of February. Having a few weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!"

Tickets for the postponed Vegas dates will be refunded. According to his representative, Manilow is scheduled to return to the Westgate on March 26, 27, and 28.

Manilow's arena tour is still set to commence in Tampa, Florida, at the Benchmark International Arena on February 27. The tour will visit various cities across the country, including Nashville, Orlando, Charleston, and Portland, before concluding in Duluth, Georgia, at Gas South Arena on April 29.

His recent single, "Once Before I Go," released in September, has entered the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart this week, marking over 50 years since his debut on the chart with "Mandy" in 1974.
