Boards of Canada Break 13-Year Silence with New Album 'Inferno'

After a month of cryptic teases, Boards of Canada have officially announced their return with Inferno, their first album in 13 years. The album is slated for a May 29 release on Warp. Fans have eagerly awaited new material from the Scottish electronic duo, comprised of brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin.

The announcement follows a unique promotional campaign that included the delivery of VHS tapes to fans' homes, filled with documentary snippets and static. These tapes hinted at the imminent return of the enigmatic group.

Adding to the intrigue, posters appeared globally, leading up to the release of "Tape 05," their first new music in over a decade.
