Boards of Canada have released "Introit" and "Prophecy at 1420 MHz," the opening suite from their new album, 'Inferno,' accompanied by a visually captivating video.
After teasing fans with the enigmatic “Tape 05” last month, the enigmatic Scottish duo Boards of Canada have officially shared the opening suite from their highly anticipated album, Inferno. The suite features two tracks, “Introit” and “Prophecy at 1420 MHz,” echoing their signature vintage sound. These tracks arrive alongside a new video, furthering the staticky VHS aesthetic and enigmatic symbolism that has defined the album's promotional campaign.

Inferno marks Boards of Canada’s first full-length album in 13 years, following Tomorrow’s Harvest. Since then, brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin have released occasional remixes and archival reissues, including an NTS DJ mix. The duo has also announced seven album premiere parties—dubbed the Inferno Sessions—taking place on May 22 in cities around the globe, including Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Glasgow, New York, and Los Angeles.
