Coachella Day 1: **Anyma** Set Canceled Due to Wind, Equipment Malfunction Injures Attendee

The first day of Coachella was largely a success, but not without its share of problems. Anyma was scheduled to perform at midnight, but the Italian-American DJ's set was canceled at the last minute due to severe weather conditions.

The Indio festival shared a statement on social media:

> "Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma's stage build, he is unable to perform tonight. Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority."

Anyma commented:

> "I’m sorry everyone. We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now."

He was set to debut his latest audiovisual project, ÆDEN, which will now premiere next weekend.

Wind also caused a piece of equipment to fall during John Summit’s performance at the DoLaB tent, injuring a festivalgoer. The stage was subsequently closed.

For those asking how wind could cause a light fixture to fall and hit someone last night at Coachella — here’s video from a follower who witnessed it and the direct aftermath firsthand.
