Dylan Dusts Off Rarities and Debuts Cover on Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour Kickoff
Bob Dylan's Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour continues to surprise, with rare tracks and a new cover emerging during the opening shows.

The ever-evolving Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour, ostensibly supporting Bob Dylan's 2020 album, commenced its latest leg in Omaha with some intriguing changes. The show at the Orpheum Theater saw Dylan on keyboard, rather than his usual piano. Guitarists Bob Britt and Doug Lancio played entirely acoustic sets for the first time on this tour, according to Flagging Down newsletter.
According to Flagging Down, there were microphone issues. The publication noted:
> We should all say a prayer for the roadie who placed Bob’s microphone tonight, because Bob was too far from it when he sat, uncomfortable when he leaned into it, and picked it up and plopped it down about 10 times throughout the night (each time it emitted a louder boom than the time before). In fact, the loudest instrument of the night was the microphone stand as it hit the stage floor! Bob’s voice may sound weak on the recordings when they come out, but he sounded really good when he was comfortable with the microphone. At other times we couldn’t hear him well due to the distance between him and the mic.
But the setlist itself held some gems. Dylan performed "Man In The Long Black Coat" from Oh Mercy for the first time since 2013, according to setlist.fm. Luckily for fans, someone recorded the performance:
Dylan also debuted a cover of Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown."
If setlist.fm is accurate, Dylan replicated the setlist in Sioux Falls the following night. Here's the setlist from those shows:
