Ex-Turnstile Guitarist Brady Ebert Arrested for Attempted Murder of Vocalist's Father
Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault after allegedly attacking Brendan Yates' father. The band has released a statement addressing the situation.

News broke earlier this week that ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert was arrested on March 31st. Montgomery County arrest records indicate the charges are attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
Reports have now surfaced that the arrest stems from an alleged incident involving Brendan Yates' father, William.
According to The Baltimore Banner, police found William Yates with trauma to his lower extremities in his front yard in Silver Spring. Yates alleges that Ebert drove to his house, honked, cursed at him, and then intentionally hit him with his car before returning to say he "deserved it."
Yates told police that Ebert had been causing issues with his family since being fired from the band.
Turnstile released a statement confirming the incident and that William Yates survived and underwent surgery:

"Turnstile cut ties with Brady Ebert in 2022 in response to a consistent pattern of harmful behaviour affecting himself, the band, and the community," the statement reads. "After exhausting every available resource to support his access to help and recovery, a boundary ultimately had to be set when healthy communication was no longer possible and he began threatening violence."
The band continued, "This past week, that violence led to a physical attack when Brady went to the house of Brendan’s parents and used his vehicle to run over Brendan’s father, causing severe physical trauma. We are grateful that Mr. Yates survived, has successfully undergone surgery, and we’re hoping for the best possible outcome in his recovery."
Since his departure from Turnstile, Ebert formed The S.E.T. (or ‘The Self Evident Truth’). However, he was recently ousted from that band after accusing Turnstile of misusing funds from a benefit gig and accusing them of "pandering to their audience" when the band posted a graphic reading “abolish ICE”.
The S.E.T. released a statement saying, “Brady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T. We will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behaviour toward the members of our band and our community”.
