Gracie Abrams Announces New Album 'Daughter From Hell,' Teases Ethereal Single 'Hit The Wall'
Gracie Abrams is gearing up to release her new album, 'Daughter From Hell,' with the lead single 'Hit The Wall' dropping this week. The album is a collaboration with Aaron Dessner of The National.

Gracie Abrams has officially announced her highly anticipated new album, ‘Daughter From Hell,’ and fans can look forward to the release of the ethereal lead single, ‘Hit The Wall,’ later this week.
This new record follows up on her 2024 sophomore album, ‘The Secret Of Us,’ and is slated for release on July 17 via Interscope. Pre-orders are available now.
Abrams co-wrote and produced ‘Daughter From Hell’ with longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner (The National). The album will be previewed by the single ‘Hit The Wall,’ which is set to drop this Thursday.
She initially teased the single earlier this month on social media, posting a silhouette with flames and expressing her deep affection for the song.
She further teased the new song at the 2026 Met Gala, telling Vogue: “It’s the introduction to this new chapter, and I feel grateful and relieved that this is the introduction. I love the song so much and I love the people I made it with. It feels embodied and that feels good. I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”
Dessner shared his excitement on Instagram, reflecting on their six-year collaboration. He wrote that he was “So so so so so beyond excited” to announce his work on Abram’s new album.
He added, “I’m deeply grateful for every song we have made and the way we have kept challenging ourselves and growing together as collaborators and friends, sometimes hitting the wall, and then pushing and breaking through.”
Dessner also revealed that work on ‘Daughter From Hell’ began two years ago, with many songs written around the same time as ‘That’s So True’ and ‘I Told You Things.’
“You’ll hear us expanding our musical vocabulary and pushing into uncharted waters sonically, and most of all the sharpening and deepening of Gracie’s lyricism and expression in ways that continue to astound me,” Dessner continued.
“I believe this album contains absolutely the most moving and powerful work we have done together – it feels elevated in every way – and I can’t WAIT until you all get to hear it. We will share more details soon on all the dear friends who helped us along the way.”
Last year, it was announced that Abrams would feature on the new Mumford & Sons album ‘Prizefighter’, alongside Hozier and Chris Stapleton. She featured on the track ‘Badlands’, and before then, the band covered ‘I Love You, I’m Sorry’ – one of her songs from ‘The Secret Of Us’ – on a Live Lounge appearance.
Since then, the singer-songwriter has criticised Donald Trump’s “poisonous and vile narcissism” after his comments following the death of film maker Rob Reiner, and it has been confirmed that she will be making her acting debut in an upcoming A24 film, directed by Halina Reijn.
