Green-House, the Los Angeles-based duo of Olive Ardizoni and Michael Flanagan, are gearing up to release their new album, Hinterlands, on March 20. The pair has moved from Leaving to Ghostly International for this release, which follows up on their critically acclaimed A Host for All Kinds of Life.
Listeners can now immerse themselves in the dreamy soundscape of "Farewell, Little Island," the first single from the upcoming record. The track offers a glimpse into the album's overarching themes.
According to Ardizoni, the album explores “the idea of legitimizing certain emotions within music that often aren’t taken seriously in art, like happiness and joy.” The single itself draws inspiration from an animated short by Sándor Reisenbüchler, which portrays a village succumbing to the overwhelming force of modern technology.
