Jason Isbell Brings 'Crimson And Clay' to Kimmel Ahead of Grammy Nominations
Jason Isbell performed 'Crimson And Clay' on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Foxes In The Snow, which is up for three Grammy awards.

Nearly a year ago, Jason Isbell released his stripped-down post-divorce album Foxes In The Snow. The album earned him three Grammy nominations, and with the ceremony looming in Los Angeles this Sunday, Isbell is in town to promote it with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Foxes In The Snow is up for Best Folk Album, and its title track is up for Best American Roots Song. "Crimson And Clay," meanwhile, is in the running for Best American Roots Performance. That's the song Isbell and the 400 Unit played on Kimmel. It's about how Isbell was correct not to stick around in a small town full of Confederate flags.
Watch below and let us know how you like his chances against Alison Krauss & Union Station, I’m With Her, Mavis Staples, and a Jon Batiste/Randy Newman duet.
